Getting up close and personal with meat & dairy

I rolled up to Tide Mill Farm in Maine on a sunny afternoon in late July. Within moments of my arrival, I had jumped into my first real encounter with a livestock farm… from milking cows, to slaughtering chickens. I even shot a video of how they slaughter the chickens, which I urge you to watch if you’ve never seen this happen before.

Chicken Soup for the Sickly Soul

Oh man, was I sick last week. Somehow I managed to have a 24-hr flu at two separate occasions in one week. That’s 48 hours of un-fun-times folks. Once my stomach regained its sense of gravity, it called for something warm, easy to digest, and most importantly, super easy. This one checks off all three.

Carnivegan?

To eat or not to eat? Meat is the question. My longstanding ethical and environmental stance against meat take backseat to my health. Thus begins my search for feel good meat, if there is such a thing.
